The world is starting to be selfish and addicted with some websites and some parental control is must for this type of addicts.So everything has something hidden in its itself.Likewise,our PC(computer) has also a secret hidden in itself.We can block the website which your children or anyone is addicted to.Just follow the simple steps below:
Goto 'C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc' then to directly to step 5 or
if you dont how to do that then follow step from number 1:
1) Open your 'My computer'
2)Goto to C-Drive(/or where your windows is installed) then find folder named "windows".then click and open it.
3)Then find folder named 'system32'(not 'system' folder its 'system32').Then click and open it.
4)then find folder named 'drivers' and open it.Then find folder 'etc' and open it.
5)Then you will find file named 'hosts'.click a right click to it to open its properties.
6) Then in properties goto 'security' tab (which is in the top of properties-'General--security--details')
7) Click on users which you will see below it.then on click 'edit' just below that.then click ok to security warning if it appears.
8) check on 'full control' which you will see below.then click on 'apply'.and security warning may appear.simply click 'yes'
9) now close the 'properties'and goto 'hosts' file.and then double click to open it. then open it with 'Notepad'.
10)then you will see many things written on it..dont modify anything there or you may mess on your internet connection and applications.
11) then just below that(meant :below anything written on it), if you want to block Facebook then the code written below works:
#Blocking Facebook
127.0.0.1 login.facebook.com
127.0.0.1 www.facebook.com
127.0.0.1 apps.facebook.com
127.0.0.1 blog.facebook.com
or if you want blocking other websites then just change Facebook address to whatever you want to block.like if you want blocking Google:
#Blocking Google
127.0.0.1 www.google.com
12) then just save the notepad.
afterwards If you again don't want it to be blocked anymore then just erase the letters you have written only ,not the letters which it was before you modified it.
after that if you want to lock hosts file from being modified then:
1)open 'properties' of that hosts file again then goto 'security tab' then 'edit'.then uncheck 'full control' and then last one ,then apply it.
2) if got security warning click 'yes'.
